Summer Fever at The Rumpus

I’ve got a new piece up at The Rumpus:

“The sun is out and the black­ber­ries on the bush­es lin­ing the road are shim­mer­ing like dark pearls. It’s August in the thir­teenth year of my life and we are in Wash­ing­ton State because my grand­fa­ther is dying.”
